Standing on the bridge, watching the river flowing,
Wondering where I've come from and where am I going.
Closing my eyes, I take a trip down the memory lane,
Reliving those moments again, once lived by Nikhil Jain.
The river reminds me how much water has already flown.
How I left for a different place and how to an entirely different place I've gone.
How life has been full of surprises,
A tale of achievements, a fable of crisis.
From where I stand, I see a boat crossing.
Due to strong winds, is turning and tossing.
Oh! How it reminds me of my own life.
Of my own struggle, my own valiant fight.
A battle I fought with my own self.
A battle where I was my own enemy myself.
Reminds me of a time I want to forget or what.
A time that surely has taught me a lot.
The river is brown, wide and slow and tells me that.
Its easy to forget the past, but a man lives with that.
Its needed to walk even the streets that are unlit.
And when the past becomes too much, its ok to even overflow a bit.
But things get back to normal after the flood.
After the deluge, you celebrate even the appearance of a bud.
And soon, the flashback is over and I realize that I am in the present again.
That I've lived on despite the tiredness and pain.
That the quest takes its direction, wherever you choose to go.
That despite the continuous work of thousands of years, the river continues to flow!
